Our Mission

AppDown was founded in 2018 with a simple mission: to give Android users worldwide access to safe, verified APK files of the apps they need. Many apps are not available in users' regional Google Play stores due to geographic restrictions, regulatory issues, or platform policies. We believe access to safely-distributed software shouldn't depend on where you live.

What We Do

AppDown maintains a curated catalog of over 80 Android applications across categories including communication, social networking, gaming, casino, productivity, multimedia, AI, finance, and more. Each app page provides comprehensive information including features, screenshots, user reviews, version history, system requirements, and step-by-step installation instructions.

Beyond hosting APK files, we provide an extensive blog with safety guides, app reviews, comparisons, and Android tips. Our content is available in English and Russian, with Spanish coming soon.

Our Verification Process

Here is what actually happens when an app is added:

We don't host APK files. The download button leads to the official app store listing, where the developer publishes and signs the build themselves. That means you get the original version, the store screens it before publication, and updates arrive automatically.

Our Team

AppDown's catalogue descriptions are drafted centrally and published in several languages; we're working to improve translation quality over time rather than claiming it's already perfect.

We don't accept payment for catalogue inclusion. We don't run a formal review or complaint-handling process at this time.

We welcome feedback from users, developers, and security researchers. Whether you want to report a bug, request a new app, or notify us of a security issue, our team aims to respond within 24-48 hours.

For developers: if you would like your app added to AppDown, please reach out with your app details, official APK file, and contact information for verification. We do not charge fees for catalog inclusion.

For security researchers: we operate a responsible disclosure program. If you discover a security issue affecting AppDown or one of the apps in our catalog, please contact us privately before public disclosure.
